Privacy Policy
SysQuest is a system design game. Your game progress, lessons, flashcards, and challenge drafts are stored on your device. The app does not require an account. You choose when to share a challenge or contact us.
Information stored on your device
SysQuest saves level progress, scores, system designs, lesson completion, saved flashcards, preferences, challenge history, and drafts locally. Native apps use device preferences; the browser version uses local storage. We do not operate an account or cloud-sync service for this data.
Camera and selected images
If you choose Scan QR, SysQuest asks for camera access to read a challenge code. QR decoding happens on your device. The scanner does not request microphone access. You can instead select an image of a QR code or enter a code manually. Camera frames and selected QR images are not uploaded to us by the scanner.
Challenges and sharing
Challenge codes, links, QR images, and result cards contain the challenge or result you choose to share. Custom challenge data can include system designs and challenge details. Anyone who receives the code or link may use it or share it further, so do not put sensitive information into shared content.
Challenge data in a web link is placed after the # character (the URL fragment), which is not included in the request sent to our web server. The receiving browser or app can read it. The messaging or sharing service you select may process the content under its own privacy policy. Removing a challenge from your app does not retract copies already shared with other people.
When you share a result image, the app may write a temporary image to its device cache so the operating system can share it. Images you save or send elsewhere remain in those destinations until you remove them.
Analytics, advertising, and purchases
The current SysQuest app does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics, or third-party crash-reporting services. It does not sell your information or use it for targeted advertising. The current release implementation does not process in-app purchases. If these practices change, we will update this policy.
Apple and Google may process app downloads and platform diagnostics according to your device settings and their own policies. See Apple’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.
This website
The SysQuest landing, privacy, and support pages do not set analytics cookies or include tracking scripts. Assets are served from this website. Our website uses Firebase Hosting, which processes IP addresses to provide the service, prevent abuse, and analyze service usage. Firebase states that Hosting retains IP information for a few months. See Firebase’s privacy information for details.
When you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond and investigate the issue. Please avoid sending passwords, payment information, or other unnecessary sensitive information. We retain correspondence as needed to handle your request and follow-up; you can contact us to request deletion, subject to any applicable retention obligations.
Your choices and deletion
You can revoke camera access in your device settings, remove saved flashcards or challenges in the app, and discard challenge drafts. Clearing app storage or deleting the app generally removes local app data; operating-system backups or copies you shared may remain separately. SysQuest does not provide account-based cloud recovery. Before clearing storage, consider whether you need to keep any shared codes or results.
For information you have sent directly to us, you may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing privacy@jampodlabs.com. Your rights may vary depending on where you live.
Security and younger users
Keep your device and app up to date and use your device’s security controls. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. SysQuest does not ask players to provide a name, age, email address, or account profile. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and address it.
Changes and contact
This policy describes the current app and website. We will update the date above when our practices change. Questions about privacy can be sent to privacy@jampodlabs.com. For help with the app, visit SysQuest Support.
